For this use case, you'll need to connect Discord (or Slack), and potentially Calendly or your preferred scheduling platform to your Agent.

Ask the Agent to welcome new community members
Now you can ask your Agent to automatically monitor for new members, access your welcome templates, and send personalized outreach messages that focus on helping them get set up successfully.

Here's the prompt we've decided to use:
“Check for any new community members added to our VISS.AI Community in the last week, use one of the welcome message templates found in "#welcome-message-templates" and send personalized welcome DMs to each new person. Focus should be to check if they've gotten setup well, if they need any assistance, and if so CTA to schedule a call.”
Of course, you can customize this to your liking.
Change "last week" to "last 24 hours" or "last month" depending on your community growth rate
Replace "#welcome-message-templates" with your actual template location or document name
Use Slack communities instead of Discord if that's where your community lives
Add specific onboarding steps like "completed profile setup" or "joined intro channel" as checkpoints
Replace call scheduling with different CTAs like "join our next community call" or "access our getting started guide"
Include role-based welcome messages for different member types like "developers", "founders", or "marketers"
