Use case: Project Deadline Monitor

In the next 2 minutes, we're going to create an Agent that automatically monitors your Notion project database for upcoming deadlines, creates comprehensive status updates with project details and timelines, posts alerts to your team Slack channel, and generates action item pages to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
Create a new Agent

Add apps to the Agent
For this use case, you'll need to connect Notion and Slack to your Agent.

Ask the Agent to monitor project deadlines
Now you can ask your Agent to automatically scan for upcoming deadlines, create status updates, alert your team, and generate follow-up action plans to keep projects on track.

Here's the prompt we've decided to use:
“Check my Notion 'Client Projects' database for any projects with status 'In Progress' and deadline within the next 7 days. Create a status update message and send it to #project-updates in Slack with project names, current status, and deadlines. Also create a follow-up page in Notion with action items needed.”
Of course, you can customize this to your liking.
Change "Client Projects" to match your actual project database name like "Product Development" or "Campaign Tracker"
Adjust the 7-day timeframe to 3 days, 14 days, or whatever warning period works for your team
Replace "#project-updates" with your team's specific project channel or send via email
Include client names, team members assigned, or budget status in the status updates
Add risk assessment levels like "Green", "Yellow", "Red" based on deadline proximity
Schedule this to run daily or weekly to maintain consistent project visibility
